Ideally, I plan to dedicate a section to posting things shared by you, the people facing similar struggles. I want this to be a safe space for patients, their families and their caregivers to share stories and advice.
Family members often feel helpless when someone they love is diagnosed with a chronic disease. I want this to be a place that will help them cope through sharing experiences and ideas of what to do and how to help. Oftentimes, the patient is too scared, too sick or just physically unable to express their needs. Plus, it can be hard for many people to ask for help in general, but I want to share different ways to be helpful. Self care is important for everyone dealing with chronic health issues.
This section should be up by the end of the week/April 15th-ish. Once it’s up, I will let you know. I look forward to hearing from you!
Please be aware that this is a blog for healing and advocacy. Trolling, bullying or any negativity towards compassionate care will not be tolerated. This is a safe, inclusive site that honors diversity in all of its beautiful varieties!
